TÜV AUSTRIA Group acquires CCS Digital Education in Greece

The group of companies recently expanded its digital learning solutions portfolio with the acquisition of CCS Digital Education with locations in Greece and Ireland. Following the asset deal acquisition, a new Business Unit under the name “Digital Learning Solutions” within TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas has been established aiming at further enhancing the long life & vocational trainings, as well as supporting the application of new technologies and digital platforms. Ioannis Kallias cordially welcomes the new colleagues to TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas: “This acquisition will contribute substantially to create a new era for training and digital training in Greece and abroad. By combining the 151 years’ history of technical competence of TÜV AUSTRIA Group with the new technology and high-level digital training solutions including gamification, we are now able to provide state of the art educational and training services.”

The new Business Unit, managed by Elias Parlavantzas, will act as an enabler for the creation of modern digital learning solutions of high quality and gamification learning solutions enhancing further the TÜV AUSTRIA’s portfolio. At the same time, it will be activated as a direct technologically innovative solutions’ provider to external clients in Greece and all over the world. “We are very proud of becoming part of TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas. This is a huge milestone for the team of CCS Digital Education. Our aim is to enhance and expand TÜV AUSTRIA’s offering in Greece and abroad and significantly contribute to the digital transformation of TÜV AUSTRIA Group vision 2030 towards becoming “the Digital TÜV””, states Elias Parlavantzas.

The fields of services provided by former CCS Digital Education within the TÜV AUSRIA Group ranges from the design and implementation of learning platforms and tools and the development of e-Learning content, including microlearning, mobile learning, simulations and sand boxes. Furthermore, gamified learning solutions will be offered, also libraries of e-Learning courses and apps, based on TÜV AUSTRIA subject expertise and quality. CSS is also specialized in the design of learning systems for skills building, that lead to certifications and offers instructional strategy consulting services. “As learning continues to evolve through emerging needs and innovative technologies, our goal is to enable people to learn through top-quality e-Learning content and exciting digital learning experiences. The TÜV AUSTRIA Digital Learning Solutions team is here to help our clients build a unique corporate learning culture while ensuring their investment brings the results they expect”, highlights Elias Parlavantzas.

Exciting exchange at panel discussion

At the opening event of the cross-faculty center of the Vienna University of Technology on April 18, 2024, researchers, practitioners and decision-makers came together to promote cooperation and knowledge exchange in order to meet the challenges of cybersecurity at both local and global level.

During the panel discussion, the participants – including Andreas Köberl (TÜV TRUST IT TÜV AUSTRIA GMBH) – emphasized, among other things, the role of universities in transferring knowledge about cybersecurity to industry and the public sector. An interdisciplinary strategy should close gaps in understanding and application and strengthen resilience against cyber threats.

Bethel High School Opening in Sight

Three years after the start of construction, the Nanoro project is nearing completion. The buildings have been erected, the photovoltaic system has been installed, and in October Bethel High School will open its doors to the first 300 students. TÜV AUSTRIA has been supporting the project since 2019.
