TÜV AUSTRIA acquires majority stake in Applied Statistics GmbH. The company now operates as TÜV AUSTRIA Data Intelligence GmbH and supports its customers and partners in the implementation and testing of intelligent data solutions.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a key technology of the 21st century. Whether in daily life or in business: the interaction with artificial intelligences is advancing, existing technical applications are to become more intelligent through analytical components.
In order to be able to trust intelligent data solutions, TÜV AUSTRIA has developed a quality seal for trustworthy AI systems under the name “Trusted AI” in cooperation with the Institute for Machine Learning at Johannes Kepler University Linz – the world’s first certificate for artificial intelligence.
With this latest acquisition, TÜV AUSTRIA is further expanding its competencies in the field of AI. Dr. Stefan Haas, CEO TÜV AUSTRIA Group: “TÜV AUSTRIA uses data and AI applications for a range of solutions, for example in the field of mobility, in cybersecurity for industrial products and plants, and also for efficient use of resources. With our joint company TÜV AUSTRIA DATA INTELLIGENE GMBH, new opportunities are now emerging to support customers and partners even better.”
Dr. Thomas Ortner, who founded Applied Statistics GmbH in 2014, is pleased about the new opportunities provided by TÜV AUSTRIA Group: “The cooperation is clearly a win-win situation: after all, we have also successfully implemented intelligent data solutions in very demanding sectors such as the railroad industry, the chemical industry and energy suppliers. Now we can also offer our competencies in TÜV AUSTRIA’s global network and at the same time integrate TÜV AUSTRIA’s networked service offering into our solutions.”
The interdisciplinary team of TÜV AUSTRIA Data Intelligence GmbH (see here) consists of a group of highly qualified mathematicians and computer scientists.
